In this new cycle of rereading its permanent collection, the eac. has chosen to honor two major artists essential to the French abstract scene.
Cécile Bart and Ode Bertrand are the tandem guests of this 2023 edition, in dialogue not only with each other but also with a selection of works from the Albers-Honegger Donation.
Their works experiment with the notion of weave and mesh, playing with the viewer's eye and, by the same token, with the scale of their works, ranging from the infinitely small for one to more monumental works for the other. The question of rhythm also runs through their respective approaches.
