FOR ITS 38TH ANNIVERSARY, Oniris will be completely renovating its main (and historic) gallery at 38 rue d'Antrain.
The entire gallery space will benefit from this renovation and compliance with standards: raised ceilings, floors, walls, heating and lighting: everything will have changed by the start of the new school year! Only the current window display will remain.
From Friday October 11, we look forward to welcoming you to our new exhibition space for the opening of Olivier Petiteau's exhibition “Grenouilles et Champignons”.
The project is being carried out by Rennes-based project management agency 1point61, under the direction of François Quenet.
REOPENING: FRIDAY 11 OCTOBER
Opened in September 1986 at 40 rue d'Antrain [*], with an inaugural exhibition by François Morellet, this first space welcomed many artists, including, in addition to those we still present, names such as Valerio Adami, Arman, Peter Klasen, Pierre Tal-Coat and even Pierre Soulages with Pierrette Boch. From the outset, most of the artists who have exhibited in this space have participated in the life of the gallery as part of a lasting artistic collaboration. In 1989, the gallery expanded into the neighboring building at 38 rue d'Antrain. After a period of several years with two very large adjoining exhibition spaces, the Oniris gallery refocused on its current address at 38 rue d'Antrain.
