Oniris in renovation projects

during summer 2024

FOR ITS 38TH ANNIVERSARY, Oniris will be completely renovating its main (and historic) gallery at 38 rue d'Antrain.

In September, the gallery will be completely transformed to welcome you even more warmly!

During the summer period, there will be no exhibition in the main gallery of Le 38, but virtual tours of previous exhibitions and the online store will remain active on our website www.oniris.art.

If you're passing through Rennes, we'll be happy to welcome you by appointment in the second gallery, located next door in the courtyard of 40 rue d'Antrain.

The project is being carried out by Rennes-based project management agency 1point61, under the direction of François Quenet.

CLOSED: SATURDAY JUNE 15 / REOPENING SCHEDULED FOR LATE SEPTEMBER

OUR 2024-2025 EXHIBITION PROGRAM WILL BE UNVEILED SHORTLY

Opened in September 1986 at 40 rue d'Antrain in Rennes, with an initial exhibition by François Morellet, this first space welcomed many artists, including Valerio Adami, Arman, Peter Klasen, Pierre Tal-Coat and even Pierre Soulages with Pierrette Boch. Other artists still participate in the life of the gallery on an ongoing basis.

In 1989, the gallery moved into the building next door at 38 rue d'Antrain. After a period of several years with two very large adjoining exhibition spaces, Galerie Oniris refocused on its current address at 38 rue d'Antrain.

It is this space that is undergoing complete renovation and upgrading this summer. Floors, walls, raised ceilings and lighting: everything will have changed by the start of the new season! Only the current shop window will remain. To be discovered this autumn!
