Painter, draughtsman but also sculptor, mainly known for his encaustic paintings, of which he diverts the traditional use to dissolve the represented elements, Philippe Cognée is one of the major figures of the French artistic scene.

His exhibition at the Chapelle is an opportunity to bring together a whole series of works produced over the last thirty years on various themes such as skulls, heads, crowds and self-portraits...
