Christian Bonnefoi - Peintures et Collages - printemps 2015 - Oniris

For this eleventh solo exhibition at the Oniris gallery, Christian Bonnefoi presents his latest works created in 2014. Even if his work is in perpetual evolution (innovation of procedures and variation of materials and supports), it is in continuity with the paintings of the series "Eureka VIII" exhibited during his previous exhibition at the gallery in 2011 which marked the appearance of black canvases. The artist then frees himself from traditional supports and recommends tarlatan or nylon canvas to work on transparency: he can thus paint the front as well as the back, and reveal, behind the canvas, the frame and the wall.
