Oniris 30 years old: Alberola - Cognée - Mencoboni

On the occasion of this exhibition event, the gallery gives carte blanche to the art critic Philippe Piguet to invite three major painters of the French scene to exhibit for the first time in Rennes.

"By choosing to bring together Jean-Michel Alberola, Philippe Cognée and Didier Mencoboni in the particular context of this exhibition, the idea is to bring together three artists who appeared on the art scene in the 1980s, some thirty years ago. Three artists whose approach differs according to aesthetic issues and different plastic formulations that actuate the eclecticism of an era open to all the possibilities of painting. »
