Drawing Now Paris 2025: Carreau du Temple - Paris

Oniris.art looks forward to seeing you in Paris at the 18^th Drawing Now Paris, to be held at the Carreau du Temple in the Marais district from March 26 to 30.

Created in 2007, Drawing Now Paris is the first contemporary art fair in Europe dedicated exclusively to drawing. In the spring of 2025, Oniris will be taking part in this dedicated drawing fair for the tenth time.

For this new edition of Drawing Now Paris, Oniris presents the Franco-Serbian artist Brankica Žilović with works on paper and drawings on a variety of media typical of her creative universe.

The Oniris stand will also feature wall collages by Christian Bonnefoi. Assembled from painted silk paper, inlaid with cut-outs and colored sets, Christian Bonnefoi's wall collages, known as “Ludo”, are created for the occasion or borrowed from other works. Contemporary with the paintings, they constitute a kind of experimentation.

our focus artist: Brankica Žilović

Born in Serbia, Brankica Žilović moved to France to pursue her studies at the Beaux-Arts de Paris, where she was able to develop a unique approach combining traditional and contemporary techniques.

Over the years, Brankica has distinguished herself by her ability to incorporate autobiographical elements into her work, creating a dialogue between her Serbian roots and her experience in France. Her recent work, presented in her first solo show at Galerie Oniris, bears witness to this duality.

Brankica Žilović's working method is characterized by an experimental approach. She often uses unconventional materials and mixed techniques (tapestry, concrete or drawing), enabling her to bring dynamic, engaging works to life. Her creative process is also marked by constant research into the perception and representation of borders, seeking to provoke reflection in the viewer on notions of belonging and displacement.
