Following the cancellation of the VOLTA Art Fair in New York only 10 days before its opening, the oniris gallery is participating in the pop-up event entitled "Plan B" which is being held at two prestigious addresses in the Chelsea art district: 534 West 21 Street and 525 West 19 Street.
The Oniris gallery presents a solo show by Soo-Kyoung Lee with a collection of paintings from his recent creations at 534 West 21 Street.
Soo Kyoung Lee creates abstract and colourful forms on monochrome backgrounds, without any preparatory drawings. It is the action of the brush, the spontaneous gesture and the colours that are shown to the viewer. All of Soo Kyoung Lee's work is the result of a perpetual exchange between the body and the canvas.
